Food Brands Group is launching a range of upmarket functional soft drinks that claim to offer consumers nutritional benefits and “detoxing” properties. Simply Mega will be launched later this month.
The non-carbonated soft drinks contain natural ingredients that are thought to offer health benefits to consumers. The food and drink manufacturer claims that the drinks will “recharge” consumers and offer nutritional balance.
The launch will be supported by a significant ad campaign – including TV, press and radio – and by in-store promotions to encourage first-time purchase. The drinks, costing &£1.89, will be on sale in 330ml bottles from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and health food shops.
Food Brands Group chairman Brian Chapman says the Simply Mega range will be successful for its taste, “not just its health benefits”.
