ITV has appointed Bartle Bogle Hegarty to handle its £20m advertising business after a three-way pitch against DDB London and Mother.
The pitch, which was called last month, was handled by David Pemsell, who was promoted to marketing director in January after the departure of Clare Salmon. The review was overseen by the AAR.
The broadcaster also invited Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, Dare, which handles its digital account, and Beattie McGuinness Bungay to pitch but they were knocked at out an earlier stage. Incumbent M&C Saatchi was not invited to repitch.
BBH handled the ITV account for three years until early 2005 when it resigned the account two months after Salmon joined the broadcaster and bought in M&C Saatchi to work on a project to evaluate the ITV brand.
