Travelex Global Business Payments has promoted Debbie Brown (pictured) to global vice president of marketing. She was previously marketing director for its UK business.
Brown, who will now be based at its Washington office, will be responsible for developing and overseeing a global marketing structure that supports the regional marketing managers, and also driving the company’s new marketing strategy. Paddy Earnshaw, who handles marketing for the Travelex Group, will add the UK role to his responsibilities.
Peter Burridge, managing director of Travelex GBP, says her new role is “fundamental” to leading its new marketing initiative, which aims to drive use of its online payments system, GlobalPay, and increase awareness in new customer segments.
Prior to joining Travelex in April 2007, Brown held a variety of IT and marketing roles at BT Global Services and Yahoo!. She also worked in New York for five years on a variety of business brands.
