Farr takes non-executive director role

Chime Communications director Sue Farr is joining the board of marketing services group Motivcom as a non-executive director. Farr, chairman of Chime’s advertising and marketing services group, will advise on marketing and communications ahead of an expansion drive.

The company, which provides incentive and motivation services for companies and their employees, is planning a new phase of growth. Colin Lloyd, Motivcom chairman, says Farr’s appointment aims to strengthen the board as part of those plans.

Farr, who is also a trustee of the Historic Royal Palaces, joined Chime in 2003 from Vauxhall UK, where she was corporate affairs director. Prior to that, she was BBC marketing director, where she oversaw the relaunch of Radio One and the launches of BBC Online, the corporation’s digital channels and Radio 5 Live. She has also worked at ad and PR agencies including Golin Harris International and WCRS.

The Motivcom brand was created in 2006, changing its name from P&MM. The company was established in 1989 as a division of the Page & Moy travel
