First City.BBDO has hung on to its ú3.5m World of Leather advertising account, after pitching against Ogilvy & Mather.

Michael Bernadout, World of Leather director in charge of marketing, says a new campaign will be launched in the spring using a combination of national press and regional television.

The chain has 30 stores, mainly on the edge of towns and in retail parks.

Last year, World of Leather achieved a turnover of ú30m.

Bernadout says the company plans to open four new stores this year, and 12 over the next two years.
