Crookes’ Ransome elevated to BHI global marketing role

Crookes Healthcare director of marketing Alan Ransome has been promoted to head of international marketing for analgesics at parent firm, Boots Healthcare International.

He replaces Leonard Massoiler, who returns to France as Boots Healthcare France director of business development.

Ransome is replaced by Crookes marketing manager, analgesics, Ros Boulstridge.

The changes come in the same week as former Carlsberg-Tetley marketing director Liz Morgan confirmed her appointment to BHI, to take on responsibility for international advertising (MW last week).

BHI’s main brands are Strepsils, Optrex, E45 and Nurofen.

Ransome joins heads of international marketing for three other categories: John Appleby heads cough and decongestants, Liz Wilkinson is responsible for skin care and Stephen Ford is in charge of eyecare.

Other changes at Crookes include the promotion of Amanda Jenkins to marketing manager analgesics replacing Boulstridge. Jenkins position is filled by Clare Robinson, who becomes senior product manager, analgesics. Andy Portsmouth becomes marketing manager Skincare, replacing Bridget Mander who left last year.
