J. Walter Thompson has created two new commercials for NestlÃ©’s Kit Kat, the first of a batch of short advertisements. One of the new executions is a ten-second glimpse of a game of Scrabble, where an unlucky player has selected a collection of consonants making it impossible to create a word. In the second 20-second film, shot in California, two cowboys relentlessly try, and fail, to shoot each other.
Both ads finish with the strapline ‘Have a Break’. Nicola Phillips, marketing manager for Kit Kat, claims the campaign is having ‘a positive effect on brand performance’.
