FCB lands £63m New Zealand Milk

New Zealand Milk, which owns Anchor butter, has appointed FCB Worldwide to its global advertising account worth $100m (&£63m).

The move follows the naming last month of FCB Latin America as New Zealand Milk’s regional agency for Central and South America and the Caribbean.

After a pitch against three other agencies, FCB picked up Asia, Africa and the Middle East and with it the status of global agency of record.

Prior to the assignment of the worldwide account to FCB, the business was handled by local and regional agencies.

New Zealand Milk has yet to reassign the agency accounts for Australia and the UK. WCRS handles the &£8m UK advertising account.

New Zealand Milk global marketing director Mike Harley, says: “Among the agency’s lead assignments will be to help New Zealand Milk move to a global category management system, as well as develop global brand marketing platforms for key brands to provide synergy, quality and effectiveness of marketing activities across key regions.”

New Zealand Milk markets milk powders, UHT and fresh milks, natural and processed cheeses, yogurts and butter in more than 90 countries across the world.

The company relaunched its Anchor dairy range with new look packs of butter, cheese, spreads and cream in the UK last April with a &£10m advertising campaign.
