Worthy pupil of The Hoff

With all the kerfuffle about David Hasselhoff recently, the Diary was overjoyed to unearth one Magnus Ramsay – a man who can step in and take some of the heat for The Hoff.

With all the kerfuffle about David Hasselhoff recently, the Diary was overjoyed to unearth one Magnus Ramsay – a man who can step in and take some of the heat for The Hoff.

Mr Ramsay, a citizen of Belfast, underwent something of an epiphany after having his eyes lazered recently. Since the operation a change has overcome him and now it seems he keeps getting mistaken for The Hoff. Looking at his pictures the Diary is unsure why the confusion only arose after eye surgery, unless he himself had been unaware of the likeness until then on account of cataracts or some such visual impairment. But whatever the reason for the transformation, Magnus is now apparently steaming around Belfast clad in red trunks and clutching a float, or the alternative outfit of Hawaiian shirt and guitar.

In order to cash in on this new-found career he has written to several PR and marketing companies offering his services as a Hoff lookalike.

Oh, and he knows how to blow his own trumpet: he also has a degree in business studies, majoring in marketing.
