MSN revamps Travel site
MSN.co.uk has relaunched its Travel channel to include content from The Guardian, Condé Nast Traveller and Rough Guides.
The redesign is part of an ongoing strategy to boost advertising revenue for the portal. It has already revamped other elements of its site including its movie channel.
The new travel site will have a holiday-booking service provided by Expedia, as well as independent travel reviews from Tripadvisor and online travel guides from publisher Dorling Kindersley.
MSN is hoping to attract advertisers looking to reach 25- to 44-year-olds who travel regularly. They will be able to sponsor content and advertise around the website, including message boards.
The redesign is being rolled out in time for the January booking season, which is traditionally the travel industry’s busiest time of year as people plan their summer holidays.
