Virgin appoints commercial director

Virgin Media Television has appointed David Cuff as commercial director and promoted Ivan Ali-Khan to the new role of head of digital. The changes come as the TV company increases its focus on digital and new media platforms.

Virgin Media Television has appointed David Cuff (pictured) as commercial director and promoted Ivan Ali-Khan to the new role of head of digital. The changes come as the TV company increases its focus on digital and new media platforms.

Cuff, who owns consultancy brand Cuff Media, will report to VMTV managing director Jonathan Webb. He replaces Steve Nam, who has joined Five.

Previously, he has worked with Initiative Media and Flextech Television, which rebranded as VMTV following the relaunch of parent company NTL:Telewest as Virgin Media.

His responsibilities include creative partnerships, business development, platform relations and developing digital strategies across Virgin Media.

Ali-Khan was previously head of planning and media. He joined in 2006 from Media Planning Group, where he was head of broadcast.
