ITV is strenghtening its global content division with the appointment of Lee Bartlett as chief operating officer. Bartlett joins from Fox, where he is executive vice-president of business affairs.
Bartlett will have operational responsibility for all activity across ITV Productions and ITV Worldwide and work closely with ITV managing director of global content, Dawn Airey.
His appointment follows the recent appointments of Peter Iacono, who joined from Sony, as president and managing director of ITV Worldwide, and Paul Buccieri, who also joined from Fox, as president and chief executive of Granada America.
Last week, the broadcaster announced plans to merge its Granada International and Granada Ventures businesses into one unit led by Iacono. ITV Worldwide is also creating a commercial brand director role to exploit ITV’s content across platforms and territories.
