She will continue to run her own marketing and business development consultancy, Alison Lancaster Consulting, which she set up late last year after she resigned as marketing director of Harrods Direct (nma 22 October 2009). She had led the store’s online shopping service since December 2008.
Before Harrods, Lancaster was marketing director of men’s business attire firm Charles Tyrwhitt.
She also spent six years at John Lewis where she was head of sales and marketing and helped develop its home shopping strategy.
