The 15 “fellows” (listed below) will now take part in a 12-month programme of board stewardship masterclasses, developed in partnership between The Marketing Academy – of which Marketing Week is a supporter – and McKinsey & Company.
Each fellow will receive one to one mentoring sessions with a group of high profile board chairs, CEOs and cross-functional board members and influencers. Fellows will also receive one to one coaching from Wisdom8 and will gain practical board experience as a non-executive, board advisor or trustee of a charity or social enterprise.
More than 100 marketers applied for a place on the Fellowship and successful fellows underwent a robust three-stage selection process, including an in-depth personality and capability evaluation by management consultants Bioss International and interviews with board level recruiters.
The Marketing Academy founder Sherilyn Shackell says: “The calibre and level of applicant was extremely high, making the ultimate decision to select the final 15 incredibly challenging. Many people and companies have donated their time and resources to support the programme and on behalf of everyone involved I’d like to congratulate the entire Fellowship cohort. We can’t wait to work with them throughout the year.”
The free programme, sponsored by ISBA and British Airways, will begin with a three-day residential at the McKinsey Alpine University in Austria.
