Marketing Academy Scholarship programme open for nominations

The free nine-month, part-time programme offers emerging leaders mentoring from some of the biggest names in marketing and advertising.

The Marketing Academy’s 2018 Scholarship programme, a free learning and mentoring initiative for emerging leaders in marketing, media and advertising, has launched and is open for nominations.

Now in it’s eighth year, the part-time programme sees scholars receive one-to-one mentoring from CMOs, CEOs, marketing directors, senior agency executives and entrepreneurs over nine months.

Scholars will also attend three ‘boot camps’ with sessions based around personal and professional development, leadership and the ability to enact change.

Would-be scholars must first be nominated before they are able to apply for the part-time programme, which is open to those with between five and 15 years experience.

More than 230 people have been through the programme since it began in 2010. One of the most recent is Silke Wexoe, strategy lead at Bow & Arrow, who says of it: “The Marketing Academy is a truly life changing opportunity. The diversity of minds and quality of people is incredible and it creates a one-of-a-kind environment for learning, professionally and personally.”

The Marketing Academy, of which Marketing Week is a partner, is a not-for profit organisation aimed at developing leadership capability among those in marketing and communications. In addition to the Scholarship, it also runs the Fellowship Programme for CMOs that want to develop skills for the C-suite.

It also backs the recently launched Marketing Academy Foundation, which funds apprenticeships in marketing for people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Registrations for the 2018 Scholarship programme are now open. Click here for more information and to nominate.
