Aviva appoints ZenithOptimedia
Insurance brand Aviva has appointed ZenithOptimedia as its global media buying, planning and digital agency following a competitive pitch against undisclosed agencies.
Aviva called a global review of its media planning and buying accounts in September last year, aiming to consolidate the its media accounts and appoint one agency to handle planning on a global scale.
The insurer says the appointment of ZenithOptimedia will “help maximise the impact of its media investment around the world”, while cutting costs.
Amanda Mackenzie, Aviva’s chief marketing officer, says the appointment of a single media agency is line with last year’s move to a single global brand, which saw Norwich Union rebrand to Aviva in the UK.
“An integrated, strategic approach to media will amplify our brand around the world”, she says.
